The Surrey Filipino Canadian Society of British Columbia celebrated Philippine Independence Day in June 2023, led by its President Mr. Edz Valdez.
Bagong Pilipinas: Diwa ng Pagkakaisa, which translates to “Unite as One and Live the Bayanihan Spirit to Everyone,” was the theme of the Philippine Independence Day observance. With Mr. Edz’s straightforward and encouraging words, everyone lifts their spirits and brings the Unity and Bayanihan energies home.
